$1.9 Million Sale in Presidents Neighborhood Novato
Updated: Apr 6, 2018
One of the most expensive homes ever to sell in the Presidents neighborhood in Novato quietly closed escrow this week. It was an off-market sale handled by Realtors, but it never was advertised on the MLS.
759 Rowland Boulevard just sold for $1,900,000, according to our local MLS (BAREIS). It hadn't changed hands in 20 years. The home last sold for $1,085,000 back in 1998, according to the tax records.
The 4,672 square foot home was built in 1994, making it one of the newest homes in the Presidents neighborhood. It has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, according to the MLS. The lot is .89 acres.
I was inside this home about three years ago. I live in the neighborhood and I've always admired this home from afar -- though you can't see it very well from the street. At the time, we had 2 homes for sale on Rowland Boulevard, very near this home, and I heard the owner might be selling. So one morning I knocked on the door and met the owner. She was just the nicest woman and she let me in to look at the house. It was fabulous!
I took a few photos when I was there. The owner told me she was getting ready to sell the house and she was completely remodeling all her bathrooms (wood floors were protected, above). She said her daughter works in real estate in another county. Again, that was 3 years ago so obviously she ended up staying longer than she expected.
What makes this house very special is its size, newly updated condition, excellent floor plan (traditional 2 story) and flat back yard off the main living areas. A gorgeous pool is the icing on the cake. Lots of privacy too. It really has it all!
When we sold 792 Rowland Boulevard late last summer, for $1,628,000, it was the highest sale in the Presidents neighborhood in almost 5 years. That home was 4 bedrooms and 3,649 square feet.
